Session #1 Sept. 13 Review
Hello everyone! Thursday's class was fantastic. Everyone did a great job and picked up a lot of new knowledge in a very short amount of time - you should be very proud. Below is a quick outline of the material we covered in the first session. I will add more material befoire we meet again and formally review before Session 2. - Introduction and Overview

- Pointed out that in Internet Explorer's "Help" menu, "About IE" that the web browser originated in Champaign-Urbana, at the University of Illinois.
- Told the story of Marc Andreesen
- Covered some very fundamental topics in HTML, the language of the World Wide Web
- HTML uses Tags which are enclosed in
- brackets (<>)
- Tags come in pairs, opening (<>) and closing (>>)
- For example, in HTML to make text BOLD you could type the following:
- This is an example sentence with one word in bold
- Tags are "nested" (Esp.: jerarquizado, Fr.: niché )
- Basic tags include: HTML, HEAD, TITLE, and BODY
- You can create a basic HTML document quickly using Internet Explorer -> File -> Import and Export and Export Faorites to create a basic HTML file of your bookmarks / favorites
- We covered how to set up a Blogger account
- We looked at the difference between "Edit HTML" vs "rich Text / Compose" in Blogger
- We grabbed images using Google's Image search
- We looked at Wikipedia.org
